Ways to dial on Cisco phones

There are 2 ways to dial numbers with the new phone system.

  1. Pick-up receiver or press speaker button. Dial 9 + your number, do not wait for a dial tone after pressing 9, just dial number. If the call is a Long Distance call, enter your LD code when you hear the 2 beeps. Now you can pick up the receiver or use speaker phone.
  2. DO NOT Pick-up receiver or press speaker button. Dial number on keypad. Your soft keys will now change to other features. You are able to input your dialing number, correcting any mistakes with your soft keys. NOTE: (Do not put your LD code in now, wait until later) When you number is correct, press the "Dial" soft key. If the call is a Long Distance call, enter your LD code when you hear the 2 beeps. Now you can pick up the receiver or use speaker phone.
