Connecting laptop to Telnet 2 system to view desktop for the first time.

  1. Connect network cable from laptop to back of Polycom, blue port.
  2. At laptop, click on Start, then Control Panel, then Network Connections,  then Local Area  connection.
  3. Towards the bottom of the Local Area Network Connections window, click Properties.
  4. On the Local Area Connection Property’s page, double click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).  This will open another window.
  5. On the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window, click the Alternate Configuration tab and enter the following information.
    IP address: 209.42.88.133.
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway: 209.42.88.1
    Preferred DNS server: 206.253.33.130
    Alternate DNS server: 206.253.33.131
  6. Verify that you can contact the Internet.
  7. If all is well, open a browser and got to  209.42.88.130.   Should open up a page that says,  ViewStation 128      System Name: Telenet2 Liberal.
  8. On this page click Show My PC.  If you have pop up blocker installed please allow it to open the page.
  9. Follow instructs to install software.
  10. Now you will have an icon on your desktop (Polycom Visual Concert PC) to allow you to share your desktop with the participants.
  11. Click on icon Polycom Visual Concert PC.  When window for registration opens, click Register Later.
  12. Enter 209.42.88.130 for IP address of ViewStation.
  13. You are now able to share your desktop.

 

Once the above steps are done, each day you only have to do these steps.

  1. Plug in blue network cable
  2. Turn laptop on.
  3. Disable wireless access.
    1. At laptop, click on Start, then Control Panel, then Network Connections,  then Local Area  connection.
    2. Right click on Wireless Network Connection and select disable.
  4. Use Polycom Visual Concert PC icon to share your desktop.
  5. Press Play/Pause button to share desktop.  Press Stop button to stop sharing.
  6. After class,   Re-enable wireless access;
    1. At laptop, click on Start, then Control Panel, then Network Connections,  then Local Area  connection.
    2. Right click on Wireless Network Connection and select Enable.
